Website issues that needs to be fixed today!

Did you know? You might be just a step away from success and you might have lost the king’s throne several times though it was just at a stretch of your hand. Ever wondered about the issues that your online sales platform might be undergoing? Some issues need to be tackled at the earliest to help you save your business.

Recently, I conducted a research on the kinds of websites and platforms that online businesses are adopting to reach out their potential targets and found that a lot of them exhibit similarities as though the inlying functionalities have been derived from the same template with hardly a few differences to go with. It means nothing but companies have been copying from their competitor’s platter and adding an extra lump of cake to make it a hit.

Genuinely from my research I don’t feel it actually works out when you copy from others because when it finally reaches the umpteenth person there is a set of disorganized code leaving the designers feel like a bunch of idiots exerting effort on something that has already been sketched out in someone else’s brain and they are just improving it. Nothing new but a poor experience for the users and SEO that is unhappy.

Now, I guess you are smiling as you have yourself gone a step ahead of being a fad at copying what all your competitors have proved themselves to be best at and still failed to entice your customers. Let me fix it for you:

  • Being mobile-friendly: If you are over the web you might have got a whiff of the latest trends as Google has already declared around two years back that it is least interested in listing out sites that are not mobile friendly. So, if you have still not gone into synch with these rules you are actually losing out the competition.

Make your website responsive, adaptive and responsive-adaptive.

While making your site responsive you just need to fix the screen size that will fit into all types of devices and ensure that the code set and tools such as breakpoints, CSS media queries and viewports are the same for all. Image loading is one of the major issue that occurs when people try to access these sites over their mobile phones or it might not fit well when these mobile sites are taken over the desktops.

Make your site responsive-adaptive as this theme is supported by almost all devices and you do not have to be concerned whether it will work only on just one or more devices.

If you have been issued with a mobile usability warning on your Webmaster tools it is high time now that you got your site optimized for mobile phones or your site will slip down from the Google SERPs algorithms.

  • Loading time: It is one of the most common factors that sites suffer from and I bet many of my readers already have a site that has loading problems and have lost those potential customers many a times as they move ahead with the next site listed out on the search engine.

But we can fix it. When Google spiders come across your site that has been detected with lazy loading they will not mind to index the images and content on your site. Get your SEO team and designers to cross check the functionalities of the design and you can avoid using complex systems in your code that can hinder the site’s loading speed.

These are the two most important factors that has to be fixed while optimizing websites for better business opportunities. Wait for my next blog where I shall take you into deeper levels of website optimization and what are all the other kinds of insecurities your website is facing.
