Losing brand visibility? Want to stay etched in your audience’s mind? Here is how…

Businesses are known by brands and if your brand fails to grab the eyeballs you are lost and there is no way to get to the top spot where your competitors are striding to. It is high time you realized that there needs to be a change in the strategies that you have been employing on promoting your brand especially over the social media.

I have been researching on ways to boost brand visibility online and I have found the following ones to be helpful:

  • Know your audience: Before going online, I would suggest that you conduct a serious research on who you are targeting at and the behavior of your customers. The minutest details mean a lot, trace out when they come online, whether they read blogs or are they active on social media sites?

You cannot entertain each and every one but the point lies in whether at least a few people out there have found what they were looking for. You need not focus on one and all. Concentrate on a smaller group from where you can bring in more and more people as your business expands.

Customize your strategy based on the following customer traits:

  • Location
  • Age
  • Marital status
  • Income
  • Gender

Once you charted out these traits of your customers you can go a step ahead and check whether your category of audience read blogs, subscribe to email newsletters, or listen to podcasts? It is actually important to know the source from where your customers try to gather information.

  • Setting a vision and identifying your goals: Your decision making capacity counts. Think about a problem that you wish to resolve through your product or service and define it specifically and let your brand carry the message of how you are trying to tackle it.

Now you need to identify your goals and chart it down in the present tense which sounds convincing and fits in well to solve the grievance that your customer might be facing. Focus on your vision statement and make it a point to come back to your vision each time so that you can stay tuned and deliver what you promised.

  • Educate your audience through relevant content: Of course we have all seen those Frequently Asked Questions section on various websites and it sounds familiar. But it is not what attracts the customers anymore. Why not think about writing something that relates to the concerns common to the industry and how to solve them. Keep it simple and easy to download with the social media sharing buttons so that your customers can share it online with others and who can tell when it will go viral.

Wait for my next blog where I will discuss further more on enhancing your brand visibility over the search engines.
