Do you know your blog posts are precious resources and you can use the same again?

Whenever we blog on a particular topic, it is not necessary that every time it will receive the same kind of response. Obviously, there are ups and downs in each genre of digital marketing and the same topics need not be appreciated by the audience. I have experienced these kinds of seasonal blow ups on certain topics, I blogged about. It is easy to give up, but then it takes guts to realize there is nothing wrong with your audience but its what you have written that neither makes sense to them nor it has the market gradient necessary to pull in traffic.

It takes effort to trace down the pulse of your audience and deliver them what they expect of you. Sometimes, you might have noticed that certain blog posts are garnering awesome responses and can be marked as an achievement to the curation efforts that you have been putting in for sometime now. As far as the online media is concerned merging in the right kind of keywords, engraving an eye catchy title and impressive yet professional style of conversation works the magic bringing in a great reputation for what you have blogged.

These kinds of articles are extremely precious and needs to be preserved. Think about those articles that have actually gone viral and have had people talking about these for a long time now. Here you have a platform to utilize the resources. The thing that bothers is whether the same post can be repeated or is it worth rewriting the entire post and choking your audience again?

I am not going to answer it, but I will put up a few questions and you can try answering these in order to determine whether your post needs tweaking or rewriting. Here goes your questions:

  • When was it that you posted the blog?

Usually they say the charm of a post lasts only for 2-3 years, after which it is automatically trashed into the coffin. So, if you own any elderly posts it is high time you replaced its time to offer some work to your keyboard and hit on the dias with some newer ideas.

  • Analyze its traffic gross in the initial stages as well as the present stature:

It is time to examine the metrics and analyze the post’s performance at the time of its entry and how well its performing today. If the post has had a very high rate of performance pulling in maximum number of readers and shares which has dropped to a low record now, then its better that you jot up some fresh ideas and rewrite a new blog post.

The second option to tweak is still alive if the post is still being shared and enthusiastic readers dropping on to read it then go ahead and make some minor changes and share the same one.

Blogging with tweaking or reposting doesn’t end here. Wait for my next series of posts where I would be explaining in depth what are the other tests you can perform on examining whether your blog post can be reutilized for better.
