How to wipe off your personal data from Android phones?

Android phones of course provide the Delete option but the data that you happen to believe has been erased might be hidden somewhere in the memory and you might come across the same at a later point of time and it will leave you thinking. When you are handing over your phone to someone else or selling it to a third person, you need to make sure you have wiped off all your personal data. Who knows you might end up losing some precious information that must be kept private.

Please note, depending on the various versions of the Android phone the procedure to delete the data might vary, as the manufacturers might modify these accordingly in order to display the uniqueness of design. We will help you wipe of the personal data that is highly confidential on your phone. Here is how:

Let us start with the microSD card: Usually, you can use it on your new phone as the data including images and other information will automatically sync in with the new device. But if your new phone does not have an SD card slot you can just get rid of the personal data on your card by just simple formatting. If the information is really vital, obtain a backup of these videos and pictures.

Here is how you can get the backup done:

Establish a connection between your phone and your computer using the USB cable. With Mac, you need to have an Android File Transfer application which supports the transfer. Choose the “My Computer” option on your desktop or PC and then navigate to the SD card and then copy the required files to the computer. Now the backup is ready. The next step is to format your SD card.

Here is how we do it:

In the settings you can find the storage where you can click on the option Erase SD card and if you have secured it with a pin enter it and you will have all the data erased. Isn’t that simple?

Now, that you have deleted off the data on your SD card there might be some information on your phone that you might wish to delete. Just take a backup of your phone and a simple factory reset will erase off the data on your phone.
