On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, “the festival of lights”, Google has unveiled its latest version of Android 4.4. Named as “KitKat” after Nestle’s chocolate bar “KitKat”, this version of Android is set to overcome the factors lacking in the JellyBean version which was the last updated latest version in the Android series. So why not go for this power packed version of Android with its exciting features. Nexus 5 is the smartphone that would feature the chocolaty flavor of Android as its operating system and is soon set to hit Indian markets. You can light up your Diwali with brighter colors by ordering it over Play Store as it is already available in International markets.
This release aims to reach out a larger audience targeting those people who are on the lookout for budgetary mobile phones. The fault with the budgetary mobile phones running over the previous versions of Android were found to lag due to insufficient RAM. Nexus 5 phones that will hit the Indian markets in 2014 are set to overcome these obstacles ensuring efficient and smooth functioning. The Google talk application within the Google hangouts will be replaced by an application integrating the SMS and MMS factors. This application will notify whenever SMSes, MMSes or instant messages are received.
Everything will be colored in white rather than in black as it was seen in the previous versions. This includes iconic items like the signal, battery backup etc. whereas the Notification Bar including the navigation bar would be transparent. The “Moto X” functionality would be in power on mode throughout and it has been customized to reciprocate in response to the commands in numerous different languages other than English. Though Google had facilitated the accessibility of camera icons across the locked screen in the previous versions, with this feature still embedded in the latest version there is an added functionality that allows the featuring of camera towards the lower right corner of the smartphone.
Apart from these the apps like Google Settings and Settings, YouTube, Voice Search and Settings have their icons improvised. The apps like Downloads, Stopwatch etc. also have their fonts and designs modified. The QuickOffice app that Google happened to purchase recently have been inc-operated into the latest version. Android and iOS platforms are fortunate to have this app free of cost. Another feature is that around four new apps can be user built according to the individual choice. Just imagine you can have a self built folder with your favorite apps on your phone. The background in the app menu has been synchronized to resemble the Home Screen wallpaper rather than the boring black color.
